Second World War. Germans are already in the Caucasus region. An old man named Betkili, whose son died in war lives a solitary life in the outskirts of a village. Once he bumps into a Soviet soldier named Lasha and shelters the young man though his strange behavior raises a suspicion in him and he ties him on the bed. Lasha, a former Menshevik’s son, turns out a spy but his relationship with Betkil puts him in a difficult situation for he feels dubious about which side to take. When the Germans appear near the village, Betkil get killed leaving Lasha tied to his bed…
