Beyond the main range of the Caucasian Mountains there lies one of the most beautiful regions of Georgia - Tusheti. The local people have been known as perfect warriors and shepherds since olden times. Since the 18th century the Tushians have led a nomadic life across Kakheti. In summers the old abandoned villages come to life again as the Tushians return to the mountains to celebrate their ancient holidays. The film narrates about the celebration of Ashto Icon in the village of Dano, whose people still try to preserve their sacred old traditions.
