Aleksandre (Shura) Jagarbekovi | |  | Gogi loses his parents during the earthquake. While looking for their remnants, Gogi encounters seriously maimed Kiko and recovers him from the ruins. Gogi gets the shelter in the house of the rail station chief, whereas Kiko is sent to Tbilisi for treatment. Gogi goes to Tbilisi and visits hospitalized Kiko. Meanwhile, he lives together with the shoemaker and makes living by shining shoes. He visits crippled Kiko in the hospital every day. When the latter comes out of the hospital, Kiko also starts living together with Gogi in the shoemaker’s house. After the revolution the youngsters enter the Academy of Arts. Handless Kiko gets used to painting with his leg and becomes successful good artist.
